Benylin Dry Coughs Night Syrup is used to help provide night time relief of dry, irritating coughs and aid a restful sleep. The liquid contains diphenhydramine hydrochloride which is an antihistamine that helps relieve coughing and dry secretions in the nose and chest, dextromethorphan hydrobromide which is an antitussive to help stop coughing and levomenthol which helps you breathe more easily by relieving congestion.

Suitable for

It is suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over.

How to use

Do not give to children under 12 years old.

Adults and children aged 12 years and over: Take 2x 5 ml spoonfuls at bedtime followed by 2x 5 ml spoonfuls every 6 hours or 2x 5 ml spoonfuls four times a day. Do not take more than 4 doses in 24 hours.

DO NOT EXCEED THE STATED DOSE.

If symptoms persist, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Hazards and Cautions

This medicine can affect your ability to drive. Do not drive whilst taking this medicine until you know how this medicine affects you.

Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist.

Seek advice before using if you are breast feeding, pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or suffer from allergies.

• Blurred vision
• Thickened mucus or dry mouth
• Upset stomach
• Unusual weakness

Storage

Do not store above 30°C. 

Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Active ingredients

Each 5ml dose contains 14mg diphenhydramine hydrochloride, 6.5mg dextromethorphan hydrobromide and 2mg levomenthol.
