Description

Benylin Mucus Cough Max Honey & Lemon Flavour 100 mg/5 ml Syrup is used to help relieve chesty coughs. It contains guafenesin (an expectorant) to help loosen mucus (phlegm) from the lungs and make it easier to cough up. This is a non-drowsy formulation.

Suitable for

It is suitable for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over.

How to use

Do not give to children under 12 years old.

Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over: 2x 5ml spoonfuls four times a day. Do not take more than 4 doses (40ml) in 24 hours.

DO NOT EXCEED THE STATED DOSE.

Contact a doctor if your symptoms worsen or do not improve within 7 days.

Hazards and Cautions

Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist.

Seek advice before using if you are breast feeding, pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or suffer from allergies. This medicine is not recommended in pregnancy. Do not take this medicine if your are breastfeeding unless advised by a doctor or pharmacist.

Possible side effects

Allergic reactions including skin rashes (which may be severe and include blistering and peeling of the skin) and itching.

Storage

Do not store above 25°C. Use within 6 months of opening. 

Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Active ingredients

The active substance is guaifenesin. Each 5ml dose contains 100mg of guaifenesin.
