Golden Eye 0.15% Eye Ointment contains the active ingredient Dibrompropamidine isetionate, belongs to a group of medicines called antiseptics. Antiseptics are used to treat infections caused by bacteria. Golden Eye 0.15% w/w Eye Ointment is used to treat minor eye or eyelid infections, such as conjunctivitis and blepharitis (inflammation of the eyelids).

How to use

For external use only.

Wash your hands before and after using the ointment:
• Take off the tube cap.
• Tilt head gently backwards.
• Pull down the lower eyelid.
• Without touching the eye with the tube, squeeze half an inch of ointment inside the lower lid.
• Close your eye. Wipe away any excess ointment with a clean tissue. Replace the cap on the tube.
• Apply once or twice each day.

If your condition does not improve after two days, stop using the ointment and consult your doctor or pharmacist.

If you wear contact lenses and have been advised to use Golden Eye 0.15% w/w Eye Ointment by a doctor, pharmacist or contact lens practitioner:
• Do not wear contact lenses while using the ointment.
• You can start wearing contact lenses again after you have finished using the ointment.

DO NOT EXCEED THE STATED DOSE.

Hazards and Cautions

Golden Eye 0.15% w/w Eye Ointment can sometimes cause blurred vision for a short while after administration. You must not drive or operate machinery until you can see clearly again.

Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, had eye surgery or laser treatment in the last 6 months, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist.

Seek advice before using if you are breast feeding, pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or suffer from allergies.

Possible side effects

Reactions on or around the eye which are mild: stinging or burning; irritation or itching; inflammation of the skin; skin rash.

Storage

Do not store above 25°C.

Discard within 4 weeks of first opening.

Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
