Description

Otrivine Adult Nasal Drops are for application in the nose to give relief from:

• nasal congestion (blocked nose, including colds)
• perennial and allergic rhinitis (recurring inflammation of the nasal mucous membranes, including hay fever)
• sinusitis

Suitable for

It is suitable for adults and children 12 years and over.

How to use

Do not use these drops for children under 12 years old.

Adults and children over 12 years of age: 2 to 3 drops in each nostril 2 or 3 times daily.

Administration:

1. Clear your nose.
2. Lean head back as far as is comfortable (see diagram in patient information leaflet).
3. Apply 2 or 3 drops to each nostril.
4. Remove the nozzle before releasing the pressure on the bottle.
5. Repeat for the other nostril.

For reasons of hygiene do not use this bottle for more than 28 days after opening it.

Do not take decongestants for more than 7 days in a row.

DO NOT EXCEED THE STATED DOSE.

Hazards and Cautions

Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist.

Seek advice before using if you are breast feeding, pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or suffer from allergies.

Possible side effects

A burning sensation in the nose and throat, local irritation, nausea, headache, dryness of the nasal membranes, temporary and passing visual disturbances, allergic reactions.

Storage

Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Do not use this bottle for more than 28 days after opening it.
